    (The ark of the covenart crossing over Jordan (River of death) probably represents the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ who is the ark of our covenant.)
Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed [this] way heretofore.     (The space of about two thousand cubits by measure before the people follow probably represents the number of years before the people pass over death into the promised land. Notice the word about.)

We are on our way to the promised land, the promise land we will sing and our hearts bursting with joy within us over the wonders it will bring.
Col 1:13
